Tech-Thru Technologies is reimagining drive-thru and pickup experiences with an NFC-powered tap-to-order solution. Customers simply tap their phone at arrival, triggering order confirmation and payment via the restaurant’s existing app and POS system. Our mission is to improve accessibility, speed, and operational efficiency for quick-service restaurants (QSRs).

We are entering the MVP phase, with initial integration targeting Toast POS.

We’re seeking a Full-Stack Developer to lead the development of our MVP. You’ll build the core workflow that enables NFC-triggered order confirmation, backend communication with Toast, and a lightweight analytics dashboard. This role is hands-on, technical, and ideal for someone who thrives in an early-stage startup environment where speed, creativity, and practicality matter most.

• Build the Tech-Thru MVP workflow:
  • NFC → Static URL → Tech-Thru backend → Toast POS API.
• Develop a lightweight backend (AWS preferred: Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, CloudFront).
• Implement order confirmation logic using stored Order IDs.
• Ensure secure handling of order/payment tokens.
• Create a simple admin dashboard (Retool, Appsmith, or custom) for tracking KPIs (taps, conversions, payment success/failures).
• Collaborate with the founder on technical decisions and trade-offs.
• Document the system for developer handoff and scaling.

• Strong experience with full-stack development (JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, or Python preferred).
• Familiarity with AWS serverless stack (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3).
• Experience with API integrations (preferably POS, payments, or logistics systems).
• Comfortable with no-code/low-code tools for quick dashboard builds.
• Knowledge of NFC/web-to-app workflows a plus.
• Entrepreneurial mindset; scrappy problem solver.
• Ability to ship fast, document clearly, and iterate based on feedback.
